Former Gov. Chris Christie received a first-hand look at the war in the Middle East.
The Republican presidential hopeful visited Israel over the weekend. He’s the first Republican presidential candidate to go to the country since the Hamas attack on Oct. 7.
Christie made U.S. leadership on the world stage a focal point of his campaign.
“I want to see it for myself and be able to talk to the American people who are supportive of Israel, they need to know what exactly happened here,” Christie said.
Christie's visit comes as President Joe Biden is facing mounting pressure to call for a ceasefire. Christie says Israel should not agree to one and that the focus should be on eliminating the threat posed by the terror group Hamas.
